Due to ongoing demand, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Glasgow as an Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) Engineer. As EDM Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Spark and Wire Erosion machines to perform EDM precision machining operations.
EDM Engineer Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Machinery set-up and operate machines
- Loading materials and unloading finished products
- Adjust machine settings as required
- Maintain an accurate log of production and equipment problems, adjustments, and repairs
- Machine inspections for mechanical or safety issues
- Ensure machines are well stocked with tooling and material to ensure limited downtime
- Flexibility to support production requirements during busier periods
EDM Engineer Skills & Behaviours:
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
EDM Engineer Qualifications & Experience:
- Time served EDM Engineer
- Experience of working to high quality standards on precision components
- Knowledge of safety and manufacturing regulations and procedures
Full time, permanent contract, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a three-shift rotation, covering early, back and night shift. Attractive rate of pay plus shift allowance.
