Pipe fabricator welder – TIG Stainless Steel Rushden, Northampton. NN10 6AR. Permanent Position £38,480 per annum Monday – Friday 7.30am – 4.30pm The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food processing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventive maintenance, environmental services and many other engineering services associated with the food and beverage industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a pipe fabricator welder to join the mechanical engineering division, supporting major process pipework installations across the Midlands and South of England. Duties As a suitably qualified and experienced pipe fabricator welder you will be working in a modern, well equipped and well-ventilated workshop in Rushden, Northampton. NN10 6AR with the occasional visit to site to install when necessary. Typical duties will include fabricating and butt welding 1″ to 4″ OD thin wall stainless steel pipework, along with schedule 10 stainless steel pipework up to 4″ diameter and carbon steel up to 6″. Other duties will include fabricating brackets and associated supports and assisting other welders when necessary. There will also be some MIG welding to mild steel pipe work for which training will be available. About You Based ideally in Northamptonshire you will need to live within a commutable distance of NN10 6AR. Demonstrable experience of fabricating and TIG welding stainless steel and carbon steel pipework within a food, drink or petro chemical processing environment. You’ll also need to have good all round welding experience with current or previous coding’s a definite advantage. MIG welding experience would be preferred but isn’t essential as training will be given for this weld process. Interested?
