Handyperson

We are looking for a dependable and skilled Handyperson to join our university maintenance team on a permanent. The successful candidate will carry out general maintenance duties across campus buildings and facilities, helping to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, painting, carpentry, and general building upkeep.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues effectively.

• Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve potential maintenance problems.

• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are safe and ready for use.

• Work closely with the estates and facilities team to support smooth campus operations.

• Follow all health and safety guidelines and university policies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a handyperson or maintenance technician.

• Skilled in a variety of maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.

• Ability to work independently and prioritise workload efficiently.

• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
