Birchwell Associates is seeking a qualified Heat Pump Installer to support a growing portfolio of low-carbon heating projects across domestic, commercial, and new-build sites in the North of England. You will join a forward-thinking team delivering air and ground source heat pump systems, underfloor heating, and energy-efficient hot water solutions. Must hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install heat pump systems to high standards, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines and regulations
- Conduct maintenance, fault diagnosis, and system repairs
- Commission systems and verify optimal performance
- Provide clear guidance to customers on system use and upkeep
- Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
- Follow safety protocols and uphold installation standards
- Engage in professional development to stay current with new technologies
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Plumbing
- Unvented Hot Water Systems (HWSS) qualification
- Proven experience with unvented cylinders, underfloor heating, and radiator circuits
- Practical experience installing air and/or ground source heat pumps
- Basic understanding of electrical connections
Desirable (but not required):
- HETAS, Gas Safe, F-Gas, or ventilation certifications
- CSCS card
