Our Head Office is based in Peterhead in the North-East of Scotland, and our second site based in Uddingston in the outskirts of Glasgow.

The Human Resources Graduate is responsible for supporting the Chief Operations Officer, HR Advisor and HR Generalists with all HR Generalist related duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
  • Assist with recruitment, including identifying new and innovative ways to advertise and attract suitable candidates and assisting in the selection process.
  • Ensuring all employees have the correct paperwork and have the right to work in the UK.
  • Identify effective internal and external communication strategies that will elicit relevant information and analyse the data received to help shape and form HR and Company strategies.
  • Assist with managing the company social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
  • Create content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on company sites, and encourages audience participation.
  • Create and update employee records, ensuring accurate recording of personnel information on systems and databases.
  • Issue contracts of employment and job descriptions to hourly paid staff.
  • Audit personnel files checking that all employees have up to date identification, contract of employment and job description, ensuring all files adhere to the company’s Privacy Policy.
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc.).
  • Dispose of ex-employees’ files in a secure and confidential manner and in line with the Company’s Privacy Policy.
  • Assist with dismissals and disciplinary meetings.
  • Assist with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations.
  • Directly support the senior HR team.
  • Support and actively promote brand integrity and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by ensuring there is engagement and communication between teams, customers and suppliers that continually drives improvement.
  • Undertake tasks as directed by the Directors and/or Senior Managers.

Skills/Personal Attributes:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enjoys working closely with people and as part of a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise own workload.
  • Professional approach and attitude.

Experience:

  • Previous experience working within an office-based environment would be advantageous.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Ideally educated to a degree level or equivalent.
