A leading provider of advanced electrification and energy conversion systems is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its high-performance engineering team. You’ll contribute to the design and development of large rotating electrical machines used in mission-critical applications across Energy, Marine, and Industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical design, analysis, and optimisation of rotating machines.
- Apply FEA tools to evaluate stress, fatigue, vibration, and noise.
- Engage with project leads, clients, and manufacturing teams to align designs with functional and operational goals.
- Ensure designs align with project specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
- Investigate and integrate advanced materials and technologies to improve performance and cost-efficiency.
What We're Looking For:
- Eligible for UK SC.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with around 10 years of industry experience.
- Proficiency in mechanical FEA tools (ANSYS/Workbench), with strong understanding of stress/fatigue principles.
- Knowledge of electrical machines and associated manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, IEC, BS EN) and engineering documentation tools (Teamcenter, SAP).
