The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
We have an exciting assignment on offer at a leading Engine Manufacturer focusing on the development of New Engine Systems. Working within their multi-million-pound R&D Centre you will apply your Design and Development experience and focus on design and validation solutions.
Collaborating with a Global team you will:
- Join the Component Engineering department and take responsibility for the development of Core engine components and systems.
- Take on new product development technical issue resolution.
- Conduct FMEA on components and systems to identify and address design risks and determine validation needs.
- Plan and execute validation tests.
- Support resolution to production, test and field issues, diagnose issues to root cause, put in place containment actions, and develop permanent corrective actions.
To be considered please ensure your CV reflects:
- Strong technical background (HNC or technical degree preferred in mechanical or automotive engineering) though other qualifications / experience is equally valued.
- Knowledge of Diesel engine core systems such as Rotating Systems, Valvetrain, Castings, Lubrication, Breather and Cooling systems - Bolted joint and sealing experience.
- Good understanding of Manufacturing principles & processes.
- Development experience of mechanical components and systems, including both rig and complete system testing.
Desirable:
- ~8D problem solving, Creation and Maintenance of DVP&R and FMEAβs.
- ~Experience of running and participating in FMEA.
- ~Knowledge and usage of Team Centre β data management software.
- ~New design development following the APQP methodology.
- ~Design capability with CREO knowledge.
