Job Description

Senior Product Manager with extensive Ecomm/Retail experience needed for a UK High Street retail giant who are going through a substantial period of digital transformation.

About the Role

As a key Senior Product Manager in the digital team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the digital transformation agenda. With a strong emphasis on customer-centricity and delivering value, you will shape and execute the digital product vision, roadmap, and development across their digital platforms.

In the role of Senior Product Manager, you will take ownership of a product portfolio, managing products from inception through their entire lifecycle. Acting as the voice of the customer, you will bring deep insights into the product’s vision, domain, and users. By tracking performance and guiding development, you will ensure the delivery of maximum value.

The digital team is also leading a significant platform migration initiative, which is a cornerstone of the broader digital transformation programme. A key responsibility of this role involves providing end-to-end product support during this migration, ensuring a smooth transition and achieving operational excellence.

Must haves:

  • Visionary Thinking : Develop and drive the product strategy and vision, aligning them seamlessly with business objectives to define the future direction of Boots.
  • Vision and Roadmap Definition : Craft and deliver a clear digital product vision and roadmap, ensuring consistent execution across digital platforms.
  • Inspirational Leadership : Take the lead in defining, articulating, and delivering product strategies, visions, and roadmaps that align with ambitious business goals.
  • Data-Driven Strategy : Leverage data insights and thorough KPI analysis to inform strategic decisions and steer products and the business toward data-informed growth.
  • Performance Management : Establish and track key performance metrics to evaluate product performance throughout its lifecycle, using data and insights to drive meaningful improvements and strategic decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization, effectively communicating product updates, achievements, and value while fostering alignment and support for key initiatives.
  • Business Case Development : Create compelling business cases for roadmap activities and secure necessary funding through established approval processes.

  • You are an experienced Senior Product Manager or Owner with demonstrable experience across a variety of Products or Domains.
  • A passionate Product Professional, you will apply the discipline’s best practices and share your knowledge and experience with your teammates.
  • Proactive, independent, and self-starting, you are adept at building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Familiar with digital development approaches and agile delivery principles, ideally in a scaled agile environment.
