Financial Lines Cyber Insurance lead- Aon Mergers & Acquisition (AMATS) Aon’s M&A and Transaction Solutions (AMATS) team provides both transaction advisory services and a wide range of solutions to clients undertaking M&A activity across EMEA. The team has grown rapidly over the last four years and now totals over 200 people from a diverse range of backgrounds including private equity, investment bankers, the ‘big 4′, lawyers, actuaries, cyber security experts as well as human capital and risk & insurance specialists. There is an opportunity to build on and further grow our Cyber insurance specialist proposition within our established Financial Lines offering. There are three key channels available, Risk and Insurance Due Diligence (R&I DD), our Digital (Cyber and Intellectual Property) and the Aon AMATS network teams across EMEA and the US which will allow for the comprehensive identification of new and existing clients needing new or expanded Cyber insurance. Our client base includes Private Equity Funds, Infrastructure fund managers, corporate buyers, institutional investors, and professional advisors. The team’s ambition is across two core strategies. Firstly, to be the leading provider of Cyber Insurance solutions to our clients by delivering a compelling value proposition that excels across complex product design, day to day service delivery and claims handling. Secondly, we aim to build on Aon’s existing portfolio company product solution and drive the distribution opportunity within Aon. All this while continually finding new and creative ways to meet our clients’ needs irrespective of complexity but aligning with our broader AMATS transaction solutions teams and advisory capabilities including Cyber Security, Human Capital (pension, heath and benefits, compensation, and talent), corporate carve out and Intellectual Property advisory. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our London office, or one of our AMATS hubs across EMEA, including (but not limited to), Spain, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland, and Italy. What the day will look like Reporting to the EMEA Head of Financial Lines (AMATS) and the EMEA Head of Cyber Solutions the role will initially focus on a number of key areas. This will include taking responsibility for: Working with Aon colleagues, the refinement and further development of a PE and Infra focused Cyber Insurance proposition including developing valuable and timely content applicable to clients, the broader AMATS team and the EMEA network at Aon. Serving as a sector subject matter expert to assist other client teams in building relationships, acquiring new business, and executing engagements. Broadening and deepening the Cyber Insurance sector knowledge across the AMATS team Driving revenue and new business growth from target clients through leading the delivery of high-quality client service and deliverables Working with the regional AMATS CEOs, Financial Lines leads and Regional AMATS Champions, Global Private Equity Leads to proactively identify and target large PE and Infrastructure opportunities to maximise our commercial position Collaborating with the broader Aon Cyber Solutions global teams to gather standard methodologies and provide them to AMATS clients worldwide. Building a strong internal network to unlock client opportunities and facilitate the delivery of exceptional client service Build a coordinated and aligned relationship with the Private Equity Cyber team to ensure a consistent go-to market strategy and value proposition with the ability to adjust based on the specific opportunity or local capability Regularly participate in virtual and in-person meetings with the Private Equity Cyber team Continually develop new content and pitch/value prop decks Customize and build each Private Equity program in the marketplace by demonstrating the use of cyber tools and analytics. Structure appropriate resources to help facilitate portfolio company placements Negotiate renewals of “master programs” Participate and advocate for clients during claims Continuous engagement with PE sponsors to discuss the portfolio program (renewals, claims, data, threat intel) How this opportunity is different The growth of AMATS and Cyber Solutions will create opportunities for career progression with the potential to move into leaderships roles, either within financial lines or the wider team. Skills and experience that will lead to success Significant cyber insurance experience either at an intermediary or insurer, preferably with broking and insurer relationship management responsibilities within their role. Cyber Security, Cyber Risk management consulting, Cyber Insurance Strategy experience gained from a Big 4, boutique Cyber security firm or Cyber Insurance Consulting.
