FIXED TERM CONTRACT (12 months) Our client, a leading organisation focusing on battery cell research and manufacturing has an exciting opportunity for a BOM Engineer. The successful candidate will work alongside a small and growing team of Scientist and Engineers in the Electrochemistry team for the development and commercialisation of innovative cell designs.

The BOM Engineer will:

  • Reporting to the Production Control Lead, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our production operations run smoothly by managing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), production data, and ERP systems.
  • Expect to collaborate across engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to:
  • Build and manage BOM structures and production part numbers in ERP
  • Create and maintain item master data, routings, and production orders
  • Support production scheduling by allocating time and materials effectively
  • Ensure data accuracy for material forecasting and stock management
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across production and control systems
  • Track and report on production performance vs. schedule

The BOM Engineer will be:

  • Detail-oriented, organised, and confident navigating ERP systems and complex production data.
  • If you’ve got a background in manufacturing or engineering environments and can thrive in a fast-changing setting, you’ll feel right at home.

You’ll need:

  • Strong knowledge of BOM structures and production data
  • A sound understanding of production systems and processes; understands how data is managed in a production system and what the implications of good/bad data management are on the downstream outputs.
  • Experience with ERP systems and data management
  • Understanding of production processes and planning/scheduling
  • An analytical mindset and an ability to manage complexity
  • Flexibility and resilience under pressure
