Psychology Teacher – Inspire Curiosity, Shape Understanding Location: Enfield Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time Salary: Β£150 – Β£250 per day (dependent on experience) Are you a Psychology Teacher driven by a passion for unlocking how the human mind works? As a Psychology Teacher, you will: Develop and deliver an engaging Psychology curriculum that includes core areas such as cognitive, biological, and social psychology, as well as research methods and ethics. Foster inquiry and critical thinking through interactive lessons, debates, and real-world case studies that make psychological concepts accessible and relevant. Assess student understanding using a range of evaluative tools, including essays, experiments, presentations, and examinations, and provide timely, constructive feedback. Support academic progression by identifying learning needs, differentiating content, and providing one-on-one mentorship where necessary. Contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment activities such as Psychology clubs, guest speaker sessions, and trips. Maintain high expectations for student conduct and academic performance, setting the standard for behaviour and scholarship. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the humanities and science departments to support cross-curricular learning and a whole-school approach to education. This role is ideal for a Psychology Teacher who is excited to explore the real-life applications of theory while inspiring students to consider careers in healthcare, research, criminology, and beyond. The Ideal Psychology Teacher Will Have: A UK-recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) A strong academic background in Psychology or a related discipline Previous experience teaching Psychology at Key Stage 4 and/or 5 A passion for student-centred teaching and curriculum innovation An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) Excellent communication and classroom management skills Safeguarding Notice Please be advised that this role requires a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
