My client, who is a leader in the world of Electronic Test & Measurement, now seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to join their growing team. Based within commuting distance of my client’s facility close to Nottingham and reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for, and lead, on all technical aspects of manufacturing.
Taking responsibility for a small engineering team, you will manage NPI, Process and Manufacturing Improvements and sub-contracting and outsourcing work as required. You will also manage and support staff training/development and develop my client’s calibration team. This will include gaining ISO17025 accreditation, setting up a new calibration lab that meets the requirements of improved accreditation, whilst improving calibration throughput.
In addition, you will manage all aspects of quality including maintaining ISO9001:2015 UKAS accreditation and improving day-to-day quality particularly through staff training. You will also take responsibility for ensuring the product meets all relevant international standards, as well as managing and developing my client’s EU service centre.

Qualifications: It is expected that you will have a PhD or Masters in Electronic Engineering or similar. The successful candidate will have several years of experience, successfully leading manufacturing and/or calibration/test teams. You will be able to demonstrate that you have achieved continuous process improvement and compliance to international standards in the electronics industry, or a closely related industry.
