What You’ll Bring:
KCS Education are looking for a knowledgeable individual with strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of transport regulations to lead their transport and fleet function. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and compliant operation of the company's transport activities. This includes managing the logistics of shipments, ensuring vehicle maintenance, and adhering to O-licence responsibilities.
What You’ll Achieve:
- Ensure all transport activities comply with legal requirements, including driver hours, vehicle maintenance standards, health and safety regulations, and O-licence conditions.
- Inspect transport vehicles regularly, arrange routine maintenance, and ensure all vehicles are fit and serviceable.
- Manage and lead the transport team, conduct regular communications with a remote workforce, and organise training and development days for transport staff.
- Oversee the coordination and direction of transport operations, including route planning, fleet tracking, and performance analysis.
- Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any transport-related issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, driver hours, and compliance documentation.
