Our client is a well-established specialist contractor in the roofing and cladding sector, delivering projects across the North West and further afield. Due to a strong order book and ongoing growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a mix of industrial roofing and wall cladding projects, including both new build and refurbishment schemes.
The Work
The role involves managing a range of roofing and cladding projects, with a focus on industrial roofing. This includes flat and pitched roofing systems on commercial and industrial buildings. It also covers external wall cladding systems such as rainscreen, composite panels, and other lightweight façades. Projects typically range from £250k to £2m, with several running concurrently at different stages throughout the year.
Role Responsibilities
- Managing multiple live projects, primarily across the North West
- Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Leading project programming, sequencing, and resourcing
- Attending pre-start and progress meetings with clients and main contractors
- Ensuring site works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Reviewing RAMS and supporting health and safety compliance across sites
- Working with estimators and QSs to manage costs, variations, and margins
- Maintaining strong communication with site supervisors, the commercial team, and directors
- Reporting progress, risks, and updates regularly to the senior leadership team

- Good knowledge of various roofing systems such as single ply, built-up, and standing seam

- Full UK driving licence and willing to travel to sites
