An established, award-winning travel company based in Guilford is recruiting for experienced Assistant Retail Travel Managers to join their growing team. This will be a varied role and will include leading, motivating and developing a team of consultants, supporting the manager with growing and developing the store, whilst playing a hands-on role supporting clients face to face and over the phone with tailor-made travel bookings.
This role offers a basic salary up to £35,000 plus a generous commission scheme, 25 days holiday, pension, healthcare, and the opportunity to go on fantastic FAM trips.
Assistant Retail Travel Manager role responsibilities:- Supporting the Manager with the leadership and development of the team
- Complete in-store training and keep up to date with travel policies and regulations
- Ensure the team offers the highest level of service
- Motivate and lead a team to achieve and exceed personal and store targets
- Support with the growth and marketing of the store and seek out opportunities to increase brand awareness in the local area
- Provide expert travel advice and create unique personalised travel itineraries
- Must have experience working in travel either within Retail Travel, Tour Operations or Travel Contact Centre experience within a role of Assistant Manager, Manager, Supervisor
- Confident supporting teams to achieve and exceed personal and company sales
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and suppliers
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent organisation skills
