We are currently assisting a leading civil engineering contractor in their search for an experienced Sub Agent to join their growing team. This contractor is known for delivering high-quality civil engineering projects across Scotland and is looking for a motivated individual to assist in site management.

Role Overview:

As a Sub Agent, you will play a key role in supporting site operations and ensuring the smooth delivery of projects. You will report to the Site Agent and assist in managing site teams, subcontractors, and materials to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The role offers flexibility to be based anywhere in Scotland, with travel to various project sites as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Site Agent in the day-to-day management of civil engineering projects
  • Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and labor resources
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards
  • Assist with project planning, reporting, and documentation
  • Manage site materials, plant, and equipment
  • Monitor project progress and report on key milestones

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering
  • Previous experience as a Sub Agent or in a similar site management role
  • Knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and quality assurance
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to various sites across Scotland
  • Full clean UK driving license

Desirable:

  • Experience with infrastructure, roads, utilities, and large civil works projects
  • Membership of a professional body (e.g., ICE)
