The Sales Executive is responsible for delivering sales of products to existing and new customers to maximise profit and develop opportunities while maintaining high professional standards and great customer care. The Sales Executive builds business by identifying and selling to prospects and by maintaining relationships and managing existing clients. The role is sales and customer focused and is responsible for hitting the sales targets as well as complying with all company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Account manage a target customer list, actively sell to meet the targets.
- Develop and maintain a good relationship with existing customers. Always work in a professional manner.
- Gain a clear understanding of customer’s businesses and requirements.
- Identify and progress new opportunities (new prospects, new customers, new projects) and evaluate their position in the industry, research and analyse sales opportunities.
- Gather customer and market information upon which you and the team can act.
- Respond to incoming phone and email enquiries, provide information on products, produce sales quotations, follow up on quotations to obtain confirmed sales orders.
- Ensure a regular contact by telephone/email is made with existing and new customers and leads are followed up.
- Feed future buying trends back to the management and purchasing.
- Advise customers on any special promotions or forthcoming product developments.
- Challenge any objections with a view of getting the customer to buy.
- Ensure all customers receive the best experience and act upon customer feedback to improve our services.
- Adopt a “can do” attitude and contribute to team effort and overall company strategy.
- Adhere to the established ISO 9001 procedures and company policies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in internal sales, telesales, or account management.
- Confident communicator with excellent phone and customer service skills.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
- Proactive in identifying sales opportunities and following up on leads.
- Organised and able to manage multiple accounts and tasks efficiently.
- IT literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Positive, target-driven mindset with a “can do” attitude and team spirit.
