Pay £12.25 to £24.50 per hour + Overtime

Temporary to Permanent based in South Molton

Day shift - £12.25, no shift premium

  • Monday-Thursday 08:00 am-4:45 pm
  • Friday 08:00 am-12:00 pm

Rotating shift - £14.09 and £15.31 per hour inclusive of shift premium

  • Early: Monday - Thursday 06:00 am-2:00 pm
  • Friday 06:00 am-11:00 pm
  • Lates: Monday - Thursday 2:00 pm-10:00 pm
  • Friday 11:00 am-16:00 pm

Night Shift - £16.29 per hour inclusive of shift premium

  • Monday - Thursday 20:45 pm-06:00 am

What is the purpose of the Assembler Tester Level 2? The Assembler Tester’s main purpose is to assemble and test Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Fuel Valves, Couplings, and other equipment, ensuring parts are produced within specific cycle times to Aerospace quality standards and meet fit, form, and function.

What are the responsibilities of the Assembly Tester?

  • Observe Health & Safety and COSHH procedures
  • Assembling in conjunction with engineering drawings and company procedures including drilling and locking
  • Follow production acceptance test schedules using a variety of test media including oil, water, Kerosene, and Skydrol
  • Accurately complete paperwork including test report
  • Cross-training available to cover all functions of the team
  • Support team with investigations and problem-solving exercises
  • Ability to work on own or with minimal supervision
  • Ability to flex hours and between functions to suit production needs
  • Application of lean principles/tools/seven wastes etc.

What are the qualifications and experience required for the Actuator?

  • Experience in assembly including drilling and fitting skills advantageous
  • Experience in using engineering drawings and associated terminology
  • Previous experience in a similar Aerospace environment advantageous
  • Conversant with Basic Measurement Techniques and using appropriate measurement equipment
  • Knowledge of LEAN processes
  • Reasonable level of computer literacy
  • Engineering Apprenticeship preferred
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths preferred
