We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of History to join a thriving secondary school in Derby. We are looking for a motivated and engaging History Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons to students at KS3 and KS4. This temporary position has the potential to become permanent and is ideal for someone who can bring the subject to life with creativity, clarity, and passion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualifications: A degree in History or a closely related subject, and UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Training: Solid understanding of the national curriculum, safeguarding procedures, and classroom management techniques.
  • Skills: Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
  • DBS Check: All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) before working, if not already registered to the update service. The cost of a DBS may be passed to the applicant.
