Hours: 40 hours a week working 4 on 4 off including weekends and public holidays, 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays incorporated into a shift rota

What will you be doing?
- Operate and monitor the plant from the main control room to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Energy Recovery Facility
- Assist in ensuring day to day compliance with all aspects of the Environmental Permit, reporting any issues to the Shift Team Leader
- Carry out routine plant inspections and adjustments / operations as required collecting and recording plant data
- Record all events in the Operators log
- Work well as part of the Operations team, assisting other team members and assisting the Shift Team Leader as required
- Manage waste bunker as required
- Training towards Level 3 Engineering / Technical Qualification
- Hold Telehandler, Forklift & Loading Shovel licences
- Carry out other duties that may be required
- Assist other Company staff and contractors as required
What are we looking for?
- Able to operate, or train to operate a variety of complex systems a DCS (Distributed Control System)
- Experience gained through shift working in a continuous process operation preferably on steam generating equipment; Waste Incineration experience desirable
- An understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues
- Able to work a continuous rotating shift pattern, including adequate voluntary overtime to cover the workload and colleagues' absences
- Strong ability to learn and complete a Level 3 Qualification
- Able to operate, or train to operate a variety of mobile equipment
