Right now, we are looking for a Technical Programme Manager to support the Projects and Lifecycle PM Teams across the FM portfolio. This key role will see you initially working on the MoD Main Building (Westminster) capital works programme with a view to supporting the wider FM Contracts, programming and scheduling work packages across various workstreams. This includes monitoring and reporting performance measures to ensure that all operational, commercial and customer targets are met or exceeded. Occasional travel to other sites/contracts or parts of the business including occasional nights away from home may be required.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide fully comprehensive Capital Works and Lifecycle Programmes, supporting delivery strategy for the Lifecycle and Capital Works programme undertaken including but not limited to:
  • Develop, track and monitor Lifecycle and Capital Works Programmes.
  • Develop and maintain resource modelling programmes aligned to Capital Works and Lifecycle programmes for key personnel and Supply Chain developing ‘what if’ and risk analysis scenarios as appropriate.
  • Assist the Senior Management Team in all aspects of delivery performance, providing weekly reports to the Senior Project Manager, Capital Works Manager and Commercial Manager relating to Life Cycle and Capital Works Programmes. Additional ad hoc reports may also be required.
  • Support the Projects Teams across the FM Portfolio to deliver a customer focused service through robust processes and procedures with MI to inform improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with SQS and commercial managers to agree and monitor key commercial aspects.
  • Responsible for the electronic updating of project tracking and reporting software for all projects being managed for the whole life of the project in a timely manner. Continually reviewing Project performance and identifying, agreeing and embedding improvement initiatives.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Proven experience in the development and management of construction programmes of work.
  • Technically qualified to minimum of HNC (Building/Mechanical/Electrical) or relevant Degree with 5 years’ experience in the development and management of construction programmes of work.
  • Proven expertise in MS Office, MS Project and ideally Visio.
  • H&S qualification e.g. IOSH H&S Managing Safely certification or SMSTS certificate.
  • CSCS card or equivalent.
  • Desirable to hold professional qualification in building related discipline or Project/programme Management.
  • Must achieve enhanced DBS, DV security clearance as required.
  • Change Management.

This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared. Any persons who do not fulfil these residency requirements may be unable to obtain the required level of clearance and would not be eligible to undertake this role.
