It is an exciting time to join Bracknell Forest. We are looking for a Transport Support Service Manager who will explore innovative and ambitious solutions to transport challenges and open up the world for children and young people with SEND and vulnerable adults in the borough.
You will be part of the SEND team in Bracknell Forest, working closely together to support children, young people and their families, as well as working alongside Adult Social Care to support vulnerable adults. You will have the support of your colleagues but also the opportunity to work independently. All local authority special needs teams are facing key challenges at the moment but there are opportunities to find creative solutions and you have the knowledge that you are improving the lives of our residents every day.
To lead the council's Education Transport and Fleet Management Services to ensure compliant, safe, efficient and effective delivery of services to both internal and external customers.
To lead the decarbonisation of the council's fleet and purchased transport solutions for other clients who receive the service.
To lead policy and process development for transport and fleet services to ensure that statutory responsibilities are met, using a person centred approach, and budget pressures are managed.
