The Trafford and Stockport College Group (TSCG) has an opportunity for an experienced Engineering Lecturer to join the Access to Higher Education team to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential and fostering success.
The Role
Working as part of a well-established and supportive team delivering successful Access to HE provision, you will be responsible for teaching the Access to HE Diploma in Engineering, delivering 13 hours of teaching over 3 days per week from September. You will deliver a range of units designed to prepare adult learners for undergraduate study in Engineering, including:
- Mechanical Engineering: Circular motion, fluid mechanics, heat and thermodynamics, magnetic fields and electromagnetic induction, statics and dynamics.
- Electrical Engineering: AC circuits, AC waveforms, applied electronics, circuits and networks, electronic components.
- Mathematics: Algebra, calculus differentiation, calculus integration, complex numbers, trigonometric methods.

- Develop and implement engaging teaching and learning strategies.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
- Work flexibly and collaboratively within the department and across the Group.

About You
You will be a qualified Engineering professional with the subject knowledge and confidence to deliver a broad range of engineering and Mathematics units. Essential attributes include:
- A relevant qualification in Engineering or a related field.
- The ability to teach both technical engineering and mathematical concepts.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
