Handyman / Traffic Marshall needed in a Construction Site based in Central London * Location: Central London * Pay Rate: £20.00 per hour (Paid on CIS/UTR) * Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm (9.5 hours paid daily) * Start Date: Immediate Start Available * Contract Type: Long-Term Work We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Handyman / Traffic Marshall to join a reputable construction project based in Central London. This is a long-term, ongoing opportunity for someone who is reliable, proactive, and ready to work on a busy and well-organised site. This is a dual-role position, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable switching between general handyman duties and traffic marshalling responsibilities as required by the site. This position is best suited for someone who enjoys varied site-based work and has a solid background in both general site maintenance and site traffic coordination. Job Description As a Handyman / Traffic Marshall on our Central London site, you will be expected to perform a range of duties essential to the smooth and safe running of the site. You will be responsible for supporting the site team by carrying out maintenance, minor repairs, and general snagging tasks. When not working as a handyman, you will be required to direct vehicles and deliveries safely around the site in accordance with health and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities Handyman Duties: * Performing basic carpentry work such as fixing timber hoardings, shelves, and skirting * Carrying out small patch repairs including sanding, filling, and decorating * Assisting with general snagging and making-good works around the site * Installing basic fixtures and fittings (shelves, signage, boards, hooks, etc.) * Minor plumbing or electrical adjustments (as applicable and within remit) * Keeping work areas clean and tidy, ensuring all tools and materials are stored safely Traffic Marshall Duties: * Safely guiding and directing vehicles, plant, and deliveries into and around the site * Managing vehicle access and ensuring compliance with site traffic management plans * Communicating clearly with drivers, plant operators, and banksmen to maintain safety * Monitoring pedestrian routes and ensuring separation from site traffic * Reporting any health and safety risks to the site manager or supervisor immediately Requirements and Qualifications: * To be considered for this dual-role, you must have: * A valid CPCS or NPORS Traffic Marshall / Vehicle Banksman ticket – Essential * Proven experience working on construction sites as a handyman and/or traffic marshall * Own tools suitable for general maintenance work – Essential * Valid CSCS card * Excellent awareness of health and safety on-site * Ability to work well independently and as part of a team * Good communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude Benefits of This Role: * Long-term consistent work with a reputable company * Great central London location with good transport links * Opportunity to develop your construction career in a multi-skilled position * Weekly payments under CIS/UTR * On-site support and a professional working environment How to Apply: If you are a skilled handyman with a valid Traffic Marshall ticket and your own tools, we want to hear from you.
