The Role

  • Salary: £45,000 + additional earnings through 1-in-2 call-out rota
  • Hours: Monday–Friday | Choice of 7am–4pm or 9am–6pm shifts
  • Team: Join a close-knit team of 2 engineers, reporting to the Contract Manager
  • Work Type: Focus on pre-planned mechanical maintenance with some reactive work

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and service plant equipment including FCUs, AHUs, pumps, valves, and pipework
  • Diagnose and repair faults on mechanical systems within a commercial environment
  • Assist with HVAC systems and general building services
  • Adhere to health & safety and compliance protocols
  • Support broader facilities management goals across the site
  • Participate in a 1-in-2 call-out rota (with additional payment)

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or Building Services (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience with commercial HVAC equipment (FCUs, AHUs, etc.)
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Good understanding of mechanical compliance and safety standards
