As a Mail Collection Driver, you’ll play a key role in the journey of the UK’s mail. Your responsibility will be to collect post from designated post boxes and local Post Offices, ensuring it’s safely and securely returned to the mail centre for sorting and onward delivery.
Job Duties:
- Start your day at the local delivery office.
- Drive a Royal Mail van to pre-planned collection points.
- Collect mail from post boxes and Post Offices.
- Scan and log collections using a hand-held device.
- Transport the collected mail back to the local Royal Mail warehouse or sorting facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort mail for your designated route.
- Deliver letters and parcels safely and efficiently.
- Use a hand-held device for navigation and signature capture.
- Work both as a driver and on foot, depending on the daily requirement.
Requirements:
- A full UK manual driving licence (held at your current UK address).
- No more than six penalty points on your licence (clean licence preferred).
- Excellent customer service skills and reliability.
- Driving experience is preferred.
Location: Derby
Pay Rate: £13.37 per hour
Working Hours: 2:30pm to 7:00pm, Monday to Friday (rotational)
