Konker is recruiting for an Architect to join a highly regarded RIBA practice based in Gloucester, with a specific focus on healthcare projects. This practice has 118 employees across three UK offices and is now looking to expand its Healthcare team following a significant increase in new project wins across the South of England.
You will be joining a well-established Gloucester studio of 85 professionals in a modern, open-plan space recently renovated by the practice's in-house interiors team. The office is easily accessible, within walking distance of the train station.
The Role
We are looking for someone with practical experience in the healthcare sector from hospitals and health centres to specialist treatment facilities. You will be delivering projects from early concept through planning and technical stages, often collaborating with NHS Trusts and private healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and delivering healthcare schemes at various stages
- Working with internal teams and external consultants to develop project proposals
- Creating drawings, presentation material, and tender packages
- Using Revit and SketchUp daily
- Engaging with clients and user groups to develop functional and efficient spaces
- Supporting bids and competitions for new healthcare work
What We’re Looking For:
- ARB-registered Architect
- Previous experience on healthcare projects is essential
- Revit proficiency is essential
- Strong design skills and attention to technical detail
- Confident communicator with clients and wider project teams
- Ambition to grow within a supportive, well-structured practice
