Teach Plus is currently working with a welcoming and inclusive 3-form entry primary school in Waltham Forest, known for its strong leadership, collaborative ethos, and commitment to staff development. The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Year 2 ECT to join their KS1 team from September 2025 on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ECT who is eager to begin their teaching career in a well-structured and nurturing setting, with excellent induction support, shared planning, and access to experienced mentors and CPD.
As a Year 2 ECT, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
- Support pupils' development as they prepare for the end of Key Stage 1
- Create a positive classroom environment where every child feels safe and inspired to learn
- Collaborate with Year 2 team and phase leader to share best practice and plan effectively
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers to support pupil progress and wellbeing
- Use assessment to inform next steps and differentiate learning appropriately
The ideal candidate will have:
- A UK-recognised teaching qualification (QTS awarded or pending by July 2025)
- A thorough understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, especially for Year 2
- A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning for all pupils
- A reflective and proactive approach to professional development
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- The right to work in the UK
