We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work within a SEN school based in Leatherhead. The children will be between the ages of 11-16 years old and experience a range of needs including autism spectrum conditions and associated behaviours, moderate learning difficulties or specific learning difficulties.
Being a Teaching Assistant for this school will require you to support all learners to achieve their full potential by providing an engaging and nurturing approach to all its SEN students. You will create a warm and nurturing environment within the small classes and provide any support during their learning and support times. You will do this by using tasks, activities and games to focus on social and emotional wellbeing and social interaction, as well as regular movement breaks to help support self-regulation. This can be within a one-to-one capacity as well as a group environment.
The ideal Teaching Assistant will be committed to providing students with engaging, innovative and an adaptive approach to education. And most importantly, making education enjoyable for both staff and students alike!
