We are working with a leading engineering solutions services company to recruit an HSE Advisor to join their team. Reporting directly to the HSE Manager, the HSE Advisor will be responsible for providing health, safety, and environmental support and guidance to the business.

The HSE Advisor will be working from their site in East Lothian, providing support to the operational site and projects, and ensure compliance with the requirements of ISO 14001 and 45001.

The HSE Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Culture and engagement and continuous improvement through workshops, encouraging the use of QHSE software, and promoting wellbeing initiatives.
  • Support new employee onboarding, deliver training programmes, and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, conduct risk assessments, and assess procedures.
  • Conduct audits, accident investigations, and ensure reporting is kept up to date.
  • Support the HSE Manager in writing documentation and the site team in completing the RAMS.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Quality Lead for initiatives aligned with integrated QHSE management, and travel to external sites on occasion to deal with any HSE issues.

The HSE Advisor will have/be:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • HSE background.
  • Analytical, problem-solver.
  • Top interpersonal skills and team player.
  • Knowledge of 14001 and 45001 is desirable but not required.
  • Commitment to CPD, and a Certificate in Assessment would be preferable but not required.
