Rare opportunity to work with this multi faceted service group on the Kent/Sussex border as Group Accountant. This is a 9 month maternity contract looking for someone to start in January to allow a two month hand over. Hybrid working 3 days at home 2 days in the office, reporting to the Group CFO, you will be responsible for:-
Responsibilities of the Group Accountant Role:-
- Oversea Group Statutory Reporting
- Provide technical oversight of accounting standards IFRS and UK GAAP
- Provide financial analysis for the Group CFO
- Working closely with senior leaders to consolidate financial reports for the larger Group
- Production of month end reports
- Analytical review to understand trends and identify errors
- Assist with managing group balances and funding on multi currency in accordance with UK & overseas tax
- Manage a team of 6 qualified accountants
Requirements of the Group Accountant Role:-
- ACA or ACCA qualified with first class academics
- Team player with exceptional communication skills
- Lage corporate environment
- Self motivated and solution driven
- Strong technical accounting background and IFRS
- Staff management and motivation
