CEN Resources are working in partnership with a well-known business who are currently looking for an experienced Senior Quality Manager for operations based in the North West of England. Our client is an Engineering and Projects Delivery business specialising in the design, installation, management and consultancy of bulk material handling systems across a number of sectors, with specific expertise in tunnelling, aggregates and ports.
Reporting to the Group Projects Director, the Senior Quality Manager ensures all operational departments adhere to company systems, policies and procedures and that the business remains compliant with accredited ISO standards and any other industry-relevant accreditations on an ongoing basis.
Applicants must have experience of EPC projects within an onshore engineering industry.
- Provide input and support of proposals during the bid and pre-contract stage.
- Review quality/process requirements pre-contract to ensure any specific quality-related deliverables.
- Support the development of existing – and introduction of new – suppliers through auditing, accurately recording and reporting NCRs, tracking total cost of quality and continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with and support Project Managers with project kick-off meetings, and ongoing project progress meetings as required, either internal or external.
- Own and manage the Quality Management System.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining the business-level risk register.
- Develop quality assurance plans as required throughout the project life cycle.
- Review contractors and suppliers Quality Plans and related quality documentation to ensure quality requirements are managed through the supply chain.
- Manage and lead quality related incident investigations, policies, process, or project related.
- Develop a Quality Status Report at project and business level, issued monthly.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to log and respond to all quality related issues and actions in a timely manner.
An experienced Quality Professional, within a project-based construction environment and including CDM. HNC/HND qualified in a quality, technical or engineering discipline. Demonstrable experience of managing internal quality systems for medium to large organisations with cloud-based systems. Strong IT skills (full MS Office Suite).
