CP31811 Heavy Plant Mechanic – Quarrying Quarry Fitter – Mobile Service Engineer Bedford and surrounding areas Package A basic of up to £45,000 plus overtime and a company van. Alecto Recruitment is currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a UK-based company specialising in the distribution, service, and hire of heavy machinery for the quarrying, recycling, and demolition industries. They have Engineers which specialise in servicing and maintaining large-scale crushing, screening, and recycling equipment across the UK. Responsibilities and Duties Conduct routine servicing and maintenance of various plant machinery. Perform fault diagnostics on diesel engines and hydraulic systems. Electrical system diagnosis is advantageous. Identify and troubleshoot faults, ensuring timely and effective repairs to minimize downtime. Qualifications and Skills We are looking for hands on experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy plant and quarrying machinery, for example Heavy plant – diggers, dumpers, excavators, loading shovels, 360s, tracked vehicles Quarrying – trommels, crushers, screeners, loading shovels etc Experience in a Field Service role Fabrication and welding experience is a plus NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred UK Full driving licence essential This role will be suitable if you are a Plant Mechanic, Plant Fitter, Service Engineer, Plant Engineer, Quarry Mechanic, Quarry Fitter.
