Pipe Fitter TIG Welder – Process Pipework Gloucester, GL4 3BW. Duration : 6 day shutdown 21st – 23rd December and 27th – 29th December Our client is a leading engineering service provider in specialist hygienic mechanical and electrical systems. Working almost exclusively in the food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical and personal care industries. Operating out of offices across the UK their multi-disciplinary teams provide turnkey solutions from pre-project feasibility studies and initial conceptual design, through to manufacture, installation and commissioning, inclusive of all aspects of project & H&S management, process & service pipework fabrication, equipment relocation, electrical C&I, panel building & software, civil engineering and construction. This is an excellent opportunity for a Pipe fitter TIG Welder – Process Pipework, to join the company, supporting a 6 day shutdown project in Gloucestershire. Duties As a suitably qualified and experienced pipe fitter TIG welder you will be working within food and beverage production on a shutdown project between the 21st December and 29th December. Responsibilities will include working within a team of pipe fitter welders to install 26no.spirax valves into existing 0.5 inch to 4 inch, sched 10 and sched 40 stainless steel and carbon steel pipelines. Specific duties will include isolating the line, cutting out the existing pipe, welding the flanges to receive the new valve then installing the new valve. Other duties will include installing all brackets and associated supports along with assisting other pipe fitter welders and mechanical fitters as necessary. About you Based ideally in the Gloucestershire you will need to live within a commutable distance of GL4 3BW. Demonstrable experience of pipe-fitting and stainless steel TIG butt welding within a food, drink or petro chemical processing environment is essential for this role. You’ll also need to have good all round welding experience with current or previous coding’s to back this up. What do think ?
