A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Building Fabric Multi-Trade Operative to join a dynamic and expanding team, delivering a wide range of maintenance, repairs, and refurbishment works across commercial client sites.
Role Summary:
This hands-on role involves carrying out carpentry, fire door installations, plastering, painting, tiling, basic plumbing, and general construction tasks. The successful candidate will play an essential part in delivering small to medium-scale improvement works while ensuring all standards of safety, quality, and compliance are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various fabric tasks including plastering, tiling, carpentry, painting, and minor plumbing.
- Support minor works and refurbishment projects.
- Prepare work areas and ensure all tools and materials are ready.
- Install, repair, and replace elements such as doors, ceilings, partitions, and skirting.
- Read and interpret drawings and plans accurately.
- Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades for efficient coordination.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in work environments.
- Complete job documentation, including records of time, materials, and progress.
- Attend briefings, inductions, and training to stay up to date on procedures and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in a similar multi-trade building fabric role.
- Strong skills across multiple trades, especially carpentry, plastering, and painting.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Fire door installation qualifications (desirable).
- CSCS, IPAF or equivalent certifications (desirable).
- Full UK driving licence.
