Are you passionate about sailing and ready to take the lead in growing a world-class brand in the UK market? This is a rare opportunity to run the UK operation for the Melges 15, a hugely popular and dynamic two-person dinghy from the internationally respected Melges brand.
Already making waves in the UK sailing scene, the Melges 15 needs an experienced and motivated Boat Sales & Events Manager to drive its next stage of growth. This is a full operational role where you'll take charge of sales, events, logistics, and brand development—essentially running the business day-to-day.
- What you’ll be doing:
- Taking full responsibility for the operational success of Melges 15 in the UK
- Driving sales and strengthening the brand’s presence across UK sailing clubs
- Organising and delivering demo days, pop-up regattas, and high-impact events
- Managing customer relationships from initial enquiry through to handover and aftersales
- Representing the brand at key sailing events, regattas, and boat shows
- Working closely with the global Melges team while independently managing UK activity
- What we’re looking for:
- Strong sailing background and an in-depth understanding of the UK dinghy scene
- Proven track record in sales and/or business development
- Experience planning and delivering sailing-related events
- Confidence to run a small operation with potential
- Based near the South Coast and comfortable with regular UK-wide travel
