The Ultrasound Probe Repair Lab Manager will oversee repair lab operations and lead a team of technicians. Will be responsible for ensuring high-quality repairs, maintaining compliance with ISO 13485 standards and actively contributing to hands-on repair work. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous training and process improvement.

  • Team Leadership & Management: Supervise, mentor, and train a team of ultrasound probe repair technicians. Allocate tasks efficiently to ensure timely and high-quality repairs. Foster a positive and productive working environment.
  • Technical Expertise & Hands-On Repair: Perform complex repairs and troubleshooting on various ultrasound probe models. Support technicians with challenging repairs and provide technical guidance. Ensure adherence to best practices in ultrasound probe repair processes.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all repair activities comply with ISO 13485 and other relevant regulatory requirements. Conduct quality control checks and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate repair records and documentation.
  • Training & Development: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance technician skills. Keep the team updated with industry advancements and repair techniques.
  • Workshop Operations & Efficiency: Manage inventory of repair tools, parts, and equipment. Identify process inefficiencies and implement solutions for improvement. Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows.

Proven experience in ultrasound probe repair, with hands-on technical expertise. Strong leadership skills with experience managing and training technicians. In-depth knowledge of ISO 13485 regulations and medical device repair standards. Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong communication skills to liaise with senior management, suppliers, and customers. Proficiency in maintaining repair documentation and quality control procedures. Background in electronics, biomedical engineering, or related field.
