Overtime paid after 48 hours at 1.25
Fresh produce experience is required.
Line Leader Responsibilities:
- Start-up Procedures: Perform all start-up checks online, ensuring equipment and processes are ready for production.
- Communication: Keep OS chiller and machine operators on your line informed about job priorities, and update them on any changes.
- Line Preparation: Prepare and efficiently set up the production line, ensuring smooth operation.
- Packaging & Label Collection: Collect packaging and labels from the packaging store and ensure that the Quality Control (QC) team checks all labels and packaging before starting the line.
- Fruit Checks: Verify that the correct variety and job number are present in the Wet area for the job at hand.
- Team Briefing: Instruct packers and line hygiene staff on upcoming jobs, providing clear directions as needed.
- Documentation: Complete all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring records are up to date.
- Continuous Monitoring: Monitor the production sheet for any updates, such as additional fruit or packaging requirements. Order any extra materials in a timely manner and ensure QC checks them before use.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the QC team checks all extra bags and flow wrap samples before they are used in production.
- End-of-Job Procedures: Remove all packaging from the line after each job and return it to the packaging department. Ensure the line is clean and ready for the next task.
- Status Updates: Update job status on the production sheet according to SOPs and ensure all details are recorded.
- Completion Reporting: Report to the Packhouse Manager once all orders are completed.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor team performance and production efficiency.
- Timely Completion: Ensure that all orders are completed accurately and on time, with legible and fully completed paperwork.
- Hygiene Compliance: Ensure that staff and packaging comply with hygiene regulations at all times.
- Auditing & Reporting: Prepare and submit various reports, including: Audit reports for your area, Profit and loss reports, Downtime reports, External and internal rejection reports, Overtime and ETI reports.
