Our Client has a requirement for a HSE Engineer, who will be required to work on a Contract basis in Talacre, North Wales.
Contract: Initially 12 months (2-3 years of work)
IR35 status: Outside IR35
Rate: Negotiable dependant on experience
Hours: 5 days onsite required (occasional Saturday morning)
Purpose of the position: As HSE Engineer you will report to the Project HSE manager. You will ensure the correct development, management and improvement of the safety management system throughout the engineering and development phases (EPIC Projects) of our decommissioning and carbon capture project.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, define and supervise HSE procedures at project and construction level
- Lead Risk Management process (i.e. HAZOP, HAZID, Hazard and Effect Management Process, Risk Assessment, etc.)
- Support implementation and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
- Plan and conduct internal HSE audits
- Coordinate and prepare HSE files and other deliverables following CDM regulations
- Lead accident / incident investigation
- Complete supplier HSE evaluations, readiness reviews and review supplier HSE documents to ensure they meet the Project requirements
- Cover for HSE Trainer, PTW Officer and HSE Officer
- Records, coordinates and monitors HSE Performance and KPI's
What are we looking for?
Education: Qualification in HSE or engineering related field, Nebosh diploma
Experience: 3-7 years in the Oil & Gas industry and onshore projects with activities in construction design regulation management and survey/investigation
Certification: ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
