SF Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a trusted supplier to support them with their search for a new Supplier and Quality Coordinator - this is a unique opportunity for someone with the right attitude, ambition, and a foundation in quality processes to truly make a mark.
About the Role
- 60% Supplier Auditing: Conducting supplier audits across the UK, Europe, India, and China to ensure compliance with quality standards when it comes to company products alongside other areas such as sustainability, ethical sourcing, and industry regulations (including modern slavery, environmental standards, etc.) when considering supplier partnerships.
- 40% Internal Quality: Supporting in-house inspections, understanding quality issues, and collaborating with internal teams to improve processes and resolve supplier quality concerns.
You will become the face of the business to their supply base - someone who can get under the skin of a supplier's operations and bring back insights that drive real change.
Skills & Experience
- Some experience in quality assurance, auditing, or supplier management - ideally within rail, manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace sectors.
- Ability to carry out supplier audits and produce clear, actionable reports.
- Good grasp of compliance frameworks and auditing beyond just the product (e.g., ethical sourcing, environmental impact).
- IT savvy - especially strong with reporting and documentation.
- Understanding of IRIS (rail industry standard) is a huge bonus but not essential.
