If you are a consultant with excellent experience in undertaking whole life carbon assessments, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Sustainability and Climate Change team.
The role will be client-facing, and the individual should be confident in leading projects and providing client advice. The opportunity to work with us will provide you with exposure to the practical implementation of whole life carbon alongside preparing roadmaps, frameworks, and visions while working with a variety of local and global clients.
To work with our Energy & Carbon Consultants and Analysts, helping our clients de-carbonise their business and reduce their environmental impact. This role will support our clients’ transition to net zero and be a fundamental support to the development, co-ordination, and delivery of strategic energy and carbon reduction programmes.
- Large analysis of energy data from fuel and utility bills
- Estimation of energy savings and costs
- Cost-benefit analysis
- Analytical mind and ability to develop engineering models from first principles
- Able to create mass and energy balances
- Ability to write technical reports
- Using Excel including creation of pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.
- Analysis of utilities such as boilers, chillers, CHP, and other large-scale utilities
- Building management systems including HVAC and BMS
- Researching a range of renewable energy technologies available on the marketplace and assessing them in relation to specific and generic client needs
- Presenting concepts, findings, and proposals to internal audiences
- Liaising with suppliers to understand technology capabilities, limitations, costs, and subsidies
YOUR TEAM
Our team works on new build, regeneration, and refurbishment schemes for clients ranging from local authorities to developers to real estate companies. We help clients understand their exposure to embodied carbon and how they can reduce these emissions across the lifetime of their projects.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree and/or masters – e.g. in Sustainability and the Environment
- Experience of developing and contributing to bids and managing projects
- Excellent research, analytical, writing, and presentational skills
- Personable with an ability to foster good working relationships and excellent experience of managing projects with other individuals or small teams
