Freelance 2D Animator Day Rate: £300 Duration: 2 weeks minimum Briefing: 2nd June Start Date: 16th June About the Project We’re hiring a freelance Animator to support an upcoming creative project focused on breathing life into existing 2D artwork. The role involves working with pre-designed illustrations of characters and environments—no original illustration required—just clean, expressive animation that enhances the story and tone of the visuals. You’ll need to bring movement, energy and detail to the assets, maintaining the visual integrity of the source material while adding clarity and impact through animation. Key Requirements * Strong experience animating 2D illustrations * Comfortable working with pre-existing assets, especially characters and environments * Proficient in software such as After Effects, Spine, or similar 2D animation tools * Able to deliver high-quality animations to a professional standard on a short timeline * Good communication skills and confident working from a brief with limited supervision Nice to Have * Experience animating for games, apps, or interactive media * Understanding of basic rigging or puppeting techniques for 2D characters * Ability to add subtle effects or motion graphics to enhance storytelling
