My client is now recruiting for a Private Client Solicitor to join their accountancy firm in London. The role offers a large amount of hybrid working, 2 days in office, 3 days at home.
The candidate will be joining an experienced legal team comprising 12 solicitors and a paralegal, working on a range of specialisms including tax, private client, corporate, immigration services and share schemes. This role will support the private client legal team and work closely alongside our substantial well-established private client tax team.
This is a fantastic career growth opportunity; they are looking for someone to grow the Private Client provision to support both their accountancy clients.
The accountancy group has been established for 100+ years and has more than 500+ staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within a team of mixed disciplines which includes accountants, IFAs, and tax specialists.
- Assist with the administration of deceased estates (both testate and intestate).
- Will drafting, including the limitation of its territorial scope and the inclusion of various trusts such as those containing business assets or a life interest trust.
- Display sound knowledge and experience in a wide variety of trust matters (Charitable, Discretionary, IIPs, Old A&M trusts, onshore and Excluded Property trusts) to include the set up, administration and taxation of such trusts.
- Advising HNW (£2-20m) and UHNW (£20m +) individuals including owner-managed businesses.
- Powers of Attorney (including registration and administration).
- Post-death variations & Deeds of Family arrangement.
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with clients and colleagues.
Requirements
- Admitted Solicitor – 3+ years OQE
- Demonstrable experience specialising in private client law, ideally with a capital tax focus.
- Working knowledge of onshore private client work.
- Strong intellect and ability to think creatively.
