We’re working with a highly respected, award-winning residential developer to recruit a skilled Customer Care Operative based in Colchester. Role Overview:
As a Customer Care Operative, you’ll take ownership of warranty repairs and aftercare services across newly built homes. You’ll be the face of the company, providing high-quality remedial works and ensuring customer satisfaction remains at the forefront.
Key Duties:
- Carry out multi-trade maintenance works, including carpentry, decorating, mastic works, tiling, and basic plumbing.
- Conduct Home Demonstrations, introducing customers to their new homes.
- Investigate and resolve issues professionally, escalating where needed.
- Prepare detailed reports, including photos and descriptions of issues.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and company standards.
- Maintain clear communication with customers and internal teams.
- Use digital systems (such as Mcare) to close jobs within service level agreements.
- Support busy periods, including year-end completions and show home preparation.
What We’re Looking For:
- A trade background or qualification (desirable).
- Skilled across a range of general maintenance tasks (e.g. carpentry, plastering, roofing, painting, etc.).
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused.
- Able to work independently and solve problems effectively.
- Organised, punctual, and a great communicator.
- Competent using digital reporting systems.
- Full UK driving licence required.
