Associate Director of Tax Taunton | Full-time | £70,000 – £90,000 + Bonus + 30 Days Holiday We’re working with an established and highly respected professional services firm to help them find an Associate Director of Tax - someone who’s confident providing strategic tax advice and building trusted client relationships at a senior level. This is a key role within the business, suited to someone with in-depth UK tax experience who’s looking to step into a leadership position, contribute to high-value planning work, and continue developing in a people-first culture. What the role involves You\’ll be working closely with the Managing Director and senior colleagues to deliver clear, practical advice to a diverse client base. Your focus will be on UK tax matters across: Capital gains Estate and inheritance tax Property and remuneration planning Business restructures and succession planning You’ll also: Lead on complex advisory work and HMRC interactions Collaborate across departments to align tax advice with wider business strategies Spot planning opportunities, identify risk, and support with audits or investigations Act as a key point of contact for internal teams and clients on all things tax Support the growth of the tax advisory function in a collaborative, values-led environment What we’re looking for This role would suit someone with: A professional qualification (CTA, ATT, ACA, ACCA) Strong UK tax knowledge – both compliance and planning Experience working with owner-managed businesses or private clients A proactive, detail-led approach and confidence managing multiple projects Clear written and verbal communication skills What’s on offer £70,000 – £90,000 depending on experience Generous annual bonus scheme 30 days holiday + bank holidays + your birthday off Study support – including paid time to study during working hours BUPA Employee Assistance Programme Sick pay and contributory pension Referral commission for introductions to the business A values-driven culture with a clear path to grow If you\’re looking to take the next step in your tax career and want to be part of a business that genuinely values people, we\’d love to hear from you
