Freelance Project Manager – External Works  Location: Darlington, UK Contract Type: Freelance Start Date: ASAP Day Rate: Competitive (DOE) Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all aspects of external works on-site at Darlington Station. Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and safe delivery. Coordinate closely with Network Rail, local authorities, and other key stakeholders. Manage budgets, timelines, risk assessments, and project reporting. Ensure works are delivered to the highest safety and quality standards in compliance with CDM regulations. Requirements: Proven experience managing external works or civils packages on infrastructure or rail projects. Strong knowledge of construction management processes and procedures. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. SMSTS, CSCS (Black or White Card), and First Aid certifications (preferred). Rail or station experience is highly desirable.
