Job Title: Freelance Construction Manager – High-Rise Scheme Location: Bristol, UK Sector: High-Rise Residential / Mixed-Use Development Freelance Contract | Full-Time On-Site £350–£425 per day (DOE) | Long-Term Project The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Freelance Construction Manager to join a Tier 1 contractor on a major high-rise project in central Bristol. The scheme is a landmark multi-storey development, incorporating residential, commercial, and public realm spaces — currently in the early stages of construction. You’ll play a critical role in site leadership, working alongside the Project Manager to manage subcontractors, oversee daily operations, and ensure the build is progressing safely, on time, and to specification. Key Responsibilities Daily management of site operations and logistics Coordination of subcontractors and trades on a live high-rise site Ensuring site safety and adherence to health & safety regulations (HSE compliance) Quality assurance and tracking progress against programme Interface with design, engineering, and commercial teams Problem-solving and proactive risk management Site reporting and client liaison as required Requirements Minimum 5–7 years\’ experience in a Construction Manager role on high-rise or complex RC frame projects Strong background with main contractors or high-profile subcontractors Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certifications Confident in managing teams and multiple workstreams on a fast-paced site Strong communication, leadership, and organisation skills Available to start on short notice or within 2–4 weeks Contract Details Start Date: September 2025 Rate: £350–£425/day (depending on experience)
