Building Control Surveyor – Liverpool – Consultancy – £55,000 + Benefits We are currently working with a consultancy in Liverpool that are looking for a Building Control Surveyor to join their team. They are looking for someone who is happy to work both independently and as part of a team on small-medium to large sized project. You will be required to work on a wide variety of projects such as new build housing including high-rise, healthcare, educational, industrial, infrastructure and specialist projects. The work will primarily be in Liverpool, the Midlands and the North. Your responsibilities include: Offer advice around the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations. Undertake plan checks and review designs to establish compliance for submission for Building Regulation approval. Provide technical advice to clients, contractors, developers, colleagues and key stakeholders. Inspect properties and buildings at key stages of the design process. Be aware of repeat and new business opportunities and to escalate these to senior management. High technical and commercial standards must be established and maintained as quality of work and added value for our clients are priorities. You must have the following requirements/attributes: A degree in?a construction related field with a preference for a design related degree or – alternatively: significant relevant, associated, and equivalent practical experience Membership to RICS, CABE or CIOB Experience of working on multiple projects An understanding and experience of the design and construction process together with experience of inspecting buildings and properties Excellent knowledge of the Building Regulations, codes and any other associated legislation Excellent Client facing skills. A current record of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
