JLA is a mission critical infrastructure solutions business offering services in Laundry, Catering, Heating, Fire Safety, Infection Control and Air Conditioning. The company offers an end-to-end, on premise, machine supply and breakdown service proposition under the name Total Care, and additional products and services.

We’re looking for a Full Stack WordPress Developer to join our team. You’ll be working across several sites, contributing to both front-end and back-end development and using APIs to build functionality. Our websites are hosted in Microsoft Azure, so experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS or GCP) is essential.

We’re looking for someone who is confident working independently, enjoys solving problems, writes clean and maintainable code, and sees features through from development to deployment.

  • Develop, maintain and manage WordPress sites hosted in Microsoft Azure
  • Ensure performance, security and accessibility best practices are met
  • Work with our UX and Customer Applications Product Owner to scope and deliver features that meet user and business needs

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development
  • Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, MySQL and API integration
  • Front-end development skills (HTML/CSS)
  • Experience writing and maintaining unit tests to ensure code quality
  • Experience working with CI/CD deployment pipelines
  • Familiarity working with staging and deployment workflows
  • Good understanding of website performance optimisation and website security
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g. Angular, React)
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for managing pipelines and deployments
  • Familiarity with responsive design implementation and best practices
