Ref: EDA/2021 Job Title:Electrical Design and Applications Engineer Reports To:GES Operations Manager Minimum Qualifications/Experience: Must be qualified to Diploma/Degree level in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (or similar). Must have a minimum of 4 years experience in Industry. Must have experience using a leading CAD package (or similar), and experience of PLC programming with various software packages. Must have the ability to work as part of a team, operate under minimal supervision and prioritise tasks effectively for best productivity. Must be self-motivated individual who has strong problem-solving skills. Main Duties and Tasks: We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design and Applications Engineer to join a growing company with a reputation for innovation and excellence in engineering. The Engineer will be working with existing and new electrical product ranges from concept to production of Electrical Distribution and Control Panels. The Engineers responsibilities and duties will include but are not restricted to: Preparing detailed specifications, documentation and drawings using CAD. Producing new designs as well as updating existing designs to applicable standards. Optimising designs taking into consideration functionality, durability, cost and repeatability. Programming HMIs and PLCs with various software packages to meet panel requirements. Liaise with other departments to meet customer requirements. Produce O&M Manuals for each job. Have the ability to Travel to Site and Fault find on PLCs and HMIs. Any other ad hoc duties.
